Best digital camera for the price?
I’m looking for a digital camera for cheap. I don’t need any features, this camera will be used strictly for eBay.
The requirements for eBay photos, in my opinion, are a bit higher than than the average seller’s choice. I would suggest a Nikon or Canon, because they feature high quality lenses that will make up for amateur picture taking. Make sure it has at least 2 MP and an easy way to upload the pics, ie Compact Flash card or SD card or USB cable. The Nikon CoolPix 950, circa 2001 is an excellent camera that can be had for much less than its original price of $799 plus. I’ve shot some amazingly clear product-type photos with several of the CoolPix models with 2 to 3 MP. Make sure you ignore the digital zoom because it won’t help with the low-resolution (less than 100 dpi) photos you will need to upload to eBay. Again, cheap doesn’t always mean settling for an inferior camera that will only scare potential buyers due to fuzzy, over-exposed digital pics. Stick with Nikon or Canon and you will be a happy camper (and eBay seller) after you see that clear, natural looking photos will ensure a positive return on your investment. I would look for two or three-year-old models that cost less than $200. Always check clearance aisles of the big electronics retailers, mainly BestBuy, Circuit City and the like. Good luck!

Here is a REALLY good camera, not only for taking pictures of items like jewlery etc. from up to a half an inch away, but for EVERYTHING!
You should get the PENTAX Optio W30. It has TONS of features, VERY good picture quality, its sleek & stylish. And to add to all that, its waterproof! You can see the camera here: http://www.pentaximaging.com/products/product_details/digital_camera–Optio_W30/reqID–9587364/subsection–optio
I have had the PENTAX Optio W10 (a slighty older version) for a few years now and I absolutely LOVE it!

I have the Polaroid iZONE 330 and I love it!!!! It takes great pictures and if you shop around on the net for it, you can get it for under $60!!! The cheapest i’ve seen it online was about $35! It slim and 3.2mp! I think it would be great for you!
