What is the best SD card for digital cameras considering price and performance?
regarding a 5 mega-pixel hp camera.
What many of the responders are missing is performance. Sandisk does make more than just one type of card. For example, if you want to have quicker write speeds to the card on the camera, you may want to consider an Ultra2 Sandisk card. It reads at 10MBperSecond and writes at 9MBperSecond.
This is beneficial in that your camera will take less time to write to the card, which means you can take another picture much faster. When you then go to upload your pictures to the computer, it will also do so more quickly.
Please keep these ideas into consideration when you are looking for memory. The speed is probably the most important factor. Sandisk Ultra2 cards are not much more expensive than the regular cards.

And But if you take from new company SD card it work same as Sandisk. The only different is the price. Sandisk and viking, kingstone are some what expensive. But if you normal or other company you will be able to get for $10-$15 for 2 GB which is really good. Or look for the deal they are even cheaper.

Like a couple of other people said, Sandisk is a great brand.
I would go with the 1GB card, I dont see a need for a bigger card, unless you are on a trip where you are not able to take the photos off your card for awhile. I usually take the photos off of my card a couple times a week. After I put the photos on my computer, I delete them from my card.
