Microphone comparison for those doing their homework before buying a Zoom H2. I was using the Comp3 setting. The drumming is some improvised slop.

It would record a solo guitar very well. Id say this thing is geared more towards solo instruments anyways. The sound quality has never disappointed me.

The zoom h2 has been absolutely amazing to work with. The recording quality is very honest. But I agree, the H4N would probably suit your band a little better with its features (4 track, external inputs, effects etc..). I mainly use the H2 for solo recording, and it just excels at it.

No, the H2 is not …
No, the H2 is not connected to the camera. I really wish there was a way to do that. I had to record the video and audio separately, then overlap them. It takes a little bit of time to get everything trimmed and lined up, but its a lot better than dealing with the mic on the camera. Thanks for the comment.
