Are Kodak Brand Digital Camera Reliable?
I see many Kodak brand digital cameras for sale.
Two things make me hesitate to buy that brand.
One being is Kodak is better known as a film company.
The other is if the cameras are actually made by Kodak or outsourced.
I see they are slightly cheaper than the well known brands like Olympus, Nikon, etc.
I would rather pay a little extra for a good camera if they are substandard.
Would anyone recommend them for amateur to "wanna be" pro use?
The only problem I have with Kodak is that for 35 years never made a top quality camera for 35mm (they prob make a decent digital today), so why not just concentrate on buying from brands such as Sony, Canon, Olympus, Fuji, Nikon and Panasonic? But that’s just me.
One camera in Kodak’s favor. I told my ex who I speak to every other day for past 5 years, not to take ANY salesman’s advice and stay away from Kodak. Well of course she took salesman’s advice and bought a Kodak. Everything I was against. She tells me she’s had no problems with the Kodak C875; and that she’s very satisfied with it’s 8X10 prints.
Go figure.

Their "refreshed" or "refurbished" cameras are just a great bargain and you can purchase an extended warranty up to three years. I’ve had good experience with their warranty repair service.
Good luck!
